Before You Get Involved

After-School Activities

Clubs and activities meet after school beginning at 2:15 PM and end in time for students to take the late bus.

Pick-Up

Students who are being picked up should be picked up promptly at 3:15 PM. Families should come into the main office to call their child for dismissal.

Late Bus

The late bus departs from the rear of the building at 3:30 PM. Students who have not been picked up will be placed on the late bus.

Stay Connected

Club and activity information will be sent electronically through our list-serv. Please make sure your email address is up to date. Students should also listen to morning announcements for upcoming information.

Medical Services

Please be advised that there is no medical supervision or medical services provided by the School Department for routine bus services or after-school activities. The only services available are local Emergency Medical Services through the town.

All-Year Clubs & Activities

National Junior Honor Society

NJHS recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship, and character. Members participate in service projects and activities that strengthen the school and community.

Eligibility: NJHS has specific academic and membership requirements. Initial eligibility letters are sent following Quarter 1 report cards to qualifying 7th and 8th grade students. Students must continue to meet chapter requirements throughout the year. Additional information about induction is shared at the beginning of Quarter 2.

Student Council

Have a voice in your school. Student Council gives students opportunities to develop leadership skills, plan activities, build school spirit, and help make BRMS an even better place.

SMILE

Explore STEM through creative problem-solving, hands-on challenges, and engaging investigations. SMILE is a statewide after-school program that also encourages students to think about pathways to higher education.

Peer to Peer

Students work together to build positive connections, support their peers, and strengthen the sense of community within BRMS.

Advisor: Mrs. Carlino

Open Library Club

Read, explore, create, and connect in the library. Students can enjoy books, work on projects, and spend time in a welcoming space with other members of the BRMS community.

Yearbook Club

Help capture the memories of the school year. Students contribute to the BRMS yearbook through photography, page design, organization, and storytelling.

Art Club

Create, experiment, and explore different artistic techniques through hands-on projects. Art Club meets Tuesdays in the Art Room.

Green Club

Green Club students play an essential role in BRMS's schoolwide Trash, Compost, Recycle program. Students help support proper sorting in the lunchrooms and throughout the school while promoting responsible habits and a cleaner, more sustainable BRMS.

Build community, connect with peers, and help create a welcoming and respectful school environment through conversation, activities, and shared experiences.

Vivace String Orchestra

Develop your skills as a string musician while rehearsing and performing with an orchestra.
