Dear Students & Families,
Welcome to a new school year! Hopefully it will be a school year full of new and exciting experiences. As the school year gets underway, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. Our names are Lisa Fontaine and Rosie Sosnowski, and we are School Counselors at Broad Rock Middle School.
During the month of September, we introduce ourselves and explain our roles as School Counselors. As School Counselors, our primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal and social development of all students. We look forward to offering support to students, staff, and families. We meet with students individually, and in small groups during lunch, conduct classroom visits, meet with parents, collaborate with teachers and staff, and consult with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all BRMS students and families.
Any student can request to meet with us, or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, school nurse or parent. We encourage you to reach out if you have any concerns regarding your child.
We are here to help students to achieve their personal/social and academic goals, as well as to provide support for parents/guardians and teachers. Please feel free to contact us at any time during the school year to discuss your child’s needs.
