Principal's Message

A Message From Principal Kathy Egan

The middle years are time for growth, challenge and discovery. At Broad Rock Middle School, we encourage and prepare students to participate fully, to take risks, to be self-advocates, and to create lasting memories and relationships with peers and staff. I am proud to be the principal of such an exciting and dynamic school.

As you read through the pages of this site, you will learn about our wonderful students, our School, and get a feel for the vibrancy and strength of the Broad Rock School community.

We expect high standards in all that we do at Broad Rock Middle School. We encourage our students to aim high in their studies, to work hard and to be sensitive to the rights and needs of others.

I look forward to working with you and your children during the school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time; our continued success is dependent on your feedback.

Kathy Egan

 South Kingstown district
There’s an app for that!
As part of our ongoing commitment to communicating with stakeholders we’ve partnered with SchoolMessenger on the development of our very own app.
Download the app now for your smartphone using these links or search for our app by name – South Kingstown Public Schools – in the Apple App Store and Google Play for Android:
The app is designed to provide easy access to school and district information including calendars, lunch menus, sports schedules (and scores), notifications, social media and more. And this is just the beginning. Based on your feedback we envision continuing to build out the app to meet future needs.
So please download the app and be sure to tell others to do the same!
