Here is an Internet Safety Powerpoint Project created by Cassidy F. and Ciara W.
The students will be completing and presenting their Internet Safety Powerpoint or Photostory projects during the fourth quarter. They will also be instructed in various technology features such as creating mini videos about their favorite books, more research-based instruction in relation to their Social Studies assignments, and an overview of what they have learned over the year in Computer Literacy. A post-assessment using Trails-9 will be administered to the students to measure their growth in technology and research skills.
The Computer Literacy students are also given library skills instruction during their class. They have learned how to log into our online card catalog, RICAT, using their ID: skb+ID number, and password: skb. From here, they can search for books and books on tape/CD in our catalog as well as place holds for books at other RI school libraries.
RULES:
- Students arrive in class and go on assigned typing program for 10 minutes (Typing Club)
- Review the day’s lesson, review requirements.
- Work on day’s lesson.
- Review of day’s learning-Educational Games* only if all work is completed.
- Students will do most of their work on the computer and work will be saved in a folder on their "H" drive.
- At the end of the period, students must log off their computer, gather their belongings, and push in chair.
- Students may use bathroom any time except the first or last 5 minutes of class; they must fill out their Planner and have it signed by me, and sign out the "Hallway Log" located in the Library before using the bathroom.
